MANAGER OF OPERATIONS

The Operations Manager will be responsible for data entry, daily operations, payroll, managing the organizations HR, continual improvement activities, and other misc. tasks.

Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage up to 10 associates
  2. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process, organizational planning and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  3. Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of San Antonio Operations through the interview and selection process of ideal team members for each operation.
  4. Play a significant role in daily and long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
  5. Ensure effective management and provide leadership and direction to team staff members
  6. Safety Officer and oversee all training requirements. Oversee all required OSHA training
  7. Payroll management
  8. Create and teach specialized work area training courses for current employees. Review, update or create Work Instructions (WIS) as needed. Continually analyze for areas to improve existing processes.
  9. Seamlessly integrate all new business opportunities into existing operations.
  10. Ensure all inventory expectations are exceeded every day.

Qualifications

  1. At least 3 years Operations Manager experience
  2. Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access
  3. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  4. Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  6. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  7. Excels at operating in a fast pace, customer centric environment
  8. Excellent people manager, open to direction and Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
  9. Ability to look at situations from several points of view
  10. Persuasive with details and facts
  11. Delegate responsibilities effectively
  12. College Degree preferred

WAREHOUSE/PACKAGING ASSOCIATE

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position receives, package, stores and ships all raw manufactured parts. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. 

Essential Functions

1. Perform packaging, shipping and receiving duties.
2. Assist with unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
3. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
4. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
5. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
6. Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
7. Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
8. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
9. Required to forward a requisition for shipping materials to the Team Lead or Group Lead for approval.
10. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
11. Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company truck, forklift or tugger.
12. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
13. Assist in counting of physical inventory.
14. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
15.  Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
16.  Wear the proper safety equipment.

13. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements
14. Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as RD Scanners, forklifts, hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Rotating Shifts: Days and Nights (Monday through Friday)
Hours of Work: 6:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (Day Shift) 6:30 p.m. to 3:15 a.m. (Night Shift)

Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
1.  One year or more of prior warehouse clerk experience.
